Toddler Talk Thursday & Day 108. 257 Days Left.

It’s no surprise kids’ say the funniest things, and what comes out of the mouth’s of toddlers is often hysterical and sometimes downright pee your pants funny! When what they say isn’t humorous, their words can melt your heart. To help make sure I never forget these little toddler quips and because they make me smile, I have decided to share them in a weekly post called “Toddler Talk Thursday.”

Addison has her first pen-pal. She woke up at 7am this morning ready to color her new friend a picture. While Addison was busy coloring away...

Jackson decided he wanted to help…

Mommy: "Addison you have to share with Jackson. He wants to color with you."

Addison: "I don’t want to share. I don’t want him to help. I want to make Emma a picture all beside myself."

Mommy: "It is nice to share. Jackson loves you and would like to help."

Addison: "But I don’t love Jackson. He bothers me."

Mommy: "That is not very nice to say. Jackson is your baby brother you should love him. He loves you very much."

Addison: "Ok, I will love him if you go get him his own coloring book."

Later this afternoon while getting ready for a nap...

Addison: "Jackson you love me so I am sleeping in your bed with you."

What are your toddlers saying?

I want to make a picture "beside" myself too sometimes! Too precious. Also the "you love me so we can nap together" photo - precious.

Isn't it true that they say the funniest things at this age? Especially about their siblings. What I think is so special is how Abby {my 2yr old} adores her big sister so much that she copies every thing she does and says, with perfect mannerisms, facial expressions, voice...all of it. Then of course, Faith gets made because "Abby's copying me...tell her to stop!" {in total whining voice} to which Abby responds..."Faith is copying me...tell her to stop!" also in total whining voice.

Abby also likes to tell her daddy that he needs to go to the post office to have his whiskers shaved off. Why she thinks that happens at the post office is beyond me! But it's funny to hear her say it.

Blessings,
Rosann

Found you through Cynthia! Cute blog! I have a 2 year old. One night, when we were at my in-laws and she was sleeping on a cot for the first time, and I was trying to get her to go to sleep and was getting somewhat frustrated, she lifted up her head and said to me "Mommy. I so happy." That did me in - I could have died the happiest woman at that moment.
I wish you could freeze time :)
