A penis story & Day 82. 283 Days Left.

I wrote awhile back about Addison’s interest in body parts. And recently, I have discovered that Jackson has learned how to take off his diaper and the joy of running around the house “commando”. I admit, I leave him for a few minutes. The floors are all tile, easy clean-up. Plus he runs around with a huge smile on his face as though he is doing something naughty. It's fun. He's cute. However, I don't always catch him immediatly.

Now for yesterday… Addison has discovered something new. She comes running out of their bedroom says "Mommy, look! Jackson’s penis is pointy." I turn to her, not saying a word. Really, just processing what I heard. I follow her into the room and sure enough, it was. Jackson’s penis was pointy. What do you say to that? Well, being that I am trying to hold onto my "mother of the year" status, I simply said "It is pointy."

I explained to her that because Jackson is a boy he has different body parts and they work differently than girls. She laughs and retorts “pointy penises are funny!” Fantastic. Am I really having this conversation with a 3 ½ year old?

Note to self: Jackson must wear shorts at all times. (I think I have made this note at least once before- this time it will stick)
