I'm It!

So as my new fave mama Kimberly, over at All Work And No Play Makes Mommy Go Something Something, puts it so perfectly. I am using her words: Remember playing tag in grade school? That game was totally invented by parents. Like you ran like the dickens and didn’t even know that you were secretly burning all the sugar you consumed in your morning Pop tart. Parents are genius. Playing tag made for some good times except when the person who was “it” was a known nose picker and was trying to hunt you down with cootie ridden boogie fingers. So not cool.

Well Mama Kimberly tagged me, the new mama on the blogging block, in a blog tag game. Now I am it!

The rules are to answer 4 questions that she picked and then create 4 more questions of my own and then tag 3 more blogs.

Ready. Set. Here Goes…

1. What is something you want to do before you die?
I would LOVE to own my OWN home. I live in a beautiful condo (when it is not gigantic spider season) that really meets our lifestyle and is great with space… but I would LOVE to have a backyard for the kids and dogs with a swing set and all the room out there to play and run around. That I do not have.

2. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Fuck, just one… really I have so many…ummmm, I hate when my hubby tries to help clean-up and puts things back in the wrong (not mama approved) place. Go ahead ask him.

3. How did you come up with the name for your blog?
It started with a just for fun list of Surviving Motherhood laughs I came up with and posted on facebook. I got so much great feed back that I thought, Hey maybe I can do this whole blogging thing. Thus Surviving Motherhood was born. How am I doing?

4. Do you like Cheese Whiz?
Hate, hate, hate it! My children will NEVER taste that shit. Come on people cheese in a can?! The fact they have CHEESE in the name baffles me.

A GREAT- BIG Thank You

(Wow ladies two awards- for me- very amazing!)

First, a GREAT BIG Thank You to MaryAnne from ThePunkRockMom for the Beautiful Blog Award. How awesome is that! You are one of my all time fave. bloggers and am so honored to be receiving this award from you.

So the duties for this award is to thank the person that gave you the award, list 7 things about you that you haven't revealed to the bloggy-verse as of yet, and pass them on to the bloggers that deserve them!
So here are my facts and some bloggy love to pass around!

1.I am more grateful for my children and my life - more than ever. Reasons will (bee) posted in a blog over the weekend- still too soon for me to talk or write about. But Monday was the worst day of my entire life.

2.I love cereal. When I was pregnant with both my son and daughter I would eat it three meals a day. Even better, now that my daughter is eating cereal, I have an excuse to buy the Cookie Crisps, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Trix without feeling like a dork.

3.I LOVE dancing and singing to my daughter’s music shows. Jacks Big Music Show, Yo Gabba Gabba and the Wiggles are just a few of our faves.

4.Before children, I never listened to the radio in my car. I loved driving from point A to B in silence.

5.I have NEVER been in an airplane- NEVER EVER!

6.I hate driving my car. I am terrified of the other drivers on the road. Even more so now that I have precious cargo.

7.I had two awful pregnancies but I miss being pregnant and would love to have another baby.

1.The only thing in life I would have changed is I wish I became a stay at home mom after my daughter was born. I went back to work the day she turned three months. My mom was wonderful enough to watch her four days a week, eight hours a day. It was not until I had the opportunity to be home with her and my son (she is 2 ½ years, he is 11 months) that I realize exactly how much I missed.
